Introduction
Digital World International Limited is an online photographic equipment provider. It is established in 2001 and is a fast growing and dynamic business. It wants to back up the data of both headquarter (Hongkong) and its subsidiary (Australia) and it has two different demands:
Requirement 1: to use the server as a central storage location.
Requirement 2: to use a PC as a central storage location.
Solution 1: corresponding to Requirement 1
1st, install Management Console on the Windows Server which will called the Backup Server. It will serve as a central server to control all the backup/restore jobs and host the data backed up. It means that you can back up all the data of the PCs to this server.
2nd, install Client Agent on all the 15 PCs that need to be backed up. Client Agent is used to backup and restore data of the PCs it resides on.
Solution 2: corresponding to Requirement 2
1st, install Management Console on the administrative PC. This PC will serve as a central PC to manage all the backup/ restore jobs for other PCs. It will also act as a central storage location, which means you can back up all the data of other PCs to it.
2nd, install Client Agent on all the PCs that need to be backed up. Client Agent is used to backup and restore data of the PCs it resides on.
