Environment:

  • Server1: 1U Dell Poweredge 1950 hosting in 2 Partitions of Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition
    MS SQL 2008 Standard Edition
  • Server2: Tower HP Proliant hosting Windows Server 2003 (acting as 2nd Active Directory Controller)
    ScanShare Folder (receiving scanned digitized docs from Network Scanner)
  • Server3: Dell Server hosting Windows Storage Server
    This is the server for backing up other servers and hosting EISOO® AnyBackup
  • 30 Clients (PC & Notebook)
  • 2 units of QNAP 209 Pro NAS Appliance (each storing 2X1TB - RAID1)
  • LAN is Gigabit Compliant

Requirements:

Two servers and 30 Clients of Twinbug needs to be backed up, together with the following requirements:

  • Security: to ensure no secret leakage and illegal access when exerting backup.
  • Easy-to-manage: to ensure simple operation and maintenance so as to enhance efficiency.
  • Data Restore: to ensure reliable data restore when disaster happens.

Installation:

  • 1st, install Management Console on Backup Server.
  • 2nd, install Client on PCs, Notebooks and the other two servers.
  • 3rd, add Desktop File Backup Agent for Windows and authorize desktop clients for file backup and restore.
  • 4th, add Desktop System Backup Agent for Windows and authorize the desktop clients for backup and restore for operating system.
